Turnouts are built with reliability to last nearly a lifetime. Every piece is hand-assembled using jigs and top-of-the-line materials: Micro Engineering nickel-silver rail, printed-circuit board ties, and optional scale lumber crossties. Advanced hidden power coupling techniques are included to reduce the number of electrical wiring connections to facilitate a simplified installation. Written instructions are included to highlight critical installation information. As improvements are designed and tested, they are incorporated into the production line.
For most turnouts and point derails you can order them in one of two ways.
"skeleton"
When you order one of these, you will receive the assembled rails, attached to printed-circuit board ties which hold their gauge perfectly. Wood
crossties are not included.
"skeleton with ties"
When you order one of these, you will receive the assembled rails, attached to printed-circuit board ties which hold their gauge perfectly, and
wood crossties are attached.
For stub turnouts, there are three options from which you can choose.
"RTDI" or "ready-to-drop-in"
Stub switches are unique in their construction as the two halves must remain in perfect alignment for reliable performance. RTDI stub turnouts are
fully assembled and designed to be installed similar to our other turnouts. When you order one of these, you will receive the assembled rails,
attached to printed-circuit board ties which hold their gauge perfectly, and wood crossties attached.
"skeleton kit"
You will receives the two halves of the stub skeleton without ties. The "kit" requires you to complete the assembly by spiking the stub turnout
onto wood ties. The stub kit version offers you the maximum flexibility in placement when installing.
"skeleton kit with ties"
Identical to the above stub skeleton kit with wooden ties included, but not attached.
